PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Cordierite saggers and trays are manufactured from
high-purity cordierite raw materials via precise forming and high-temperature
sintering. With low thermal expansion and outstanding thermal shock resistance
as core advantages, they are ideal kiln furniture for medium-temperature firing
processes. Lightweight yet sturdy, they effectively reduce kiln load and energy
consumption, and will not contaminate fired products during repeated rapid
heating and cooling cycles.
Key Features
Lightweight with high mechanical strength, strong load-bearing capacity
Excellent thermal insulation to cut heat loss and save energy
Uniform porous structure, high specific surface area
Superior resistance to acid, alkali and chemical corrosion
Great air permeability for smooth exhaust of binder decomposition gas
Reliable high-temperature dimensional stability
Ultra-low thermal expansion coefficient, anti-cracking under thermal cycling
High elastic modulus, less deformation under long-term heavy load
Main Applications
Ceramic industry: firing sanitary ware, daily ceramics, architectural tiles and art ceramics
Electronic materials: sintering ferrite cores, piezoelectric ceramics, LTCC electronic components
New energy lithium battery: calcination of lithium iron phosphate, ternary cathode materials
Powder metallurgy & MIM: debinding and sintering of metal parts and cemented carbide cutters
Heat treatment: firing small non-ferrous metal workpieces in medium-temperature furnaces
Laboratory kilns: high-temperature test saggers and supporting trays for material research
